Your Friendly Hosts…
Robbo is Newcastle born and bred (NE4). I attended my first game in March 1982 in the old 2nd division against Chelsea (1-1), with Clarke getting our goal.
The team that day was……..
Carr; Brownlie, Saunders; Trewick, Carney, Haddock; Mills, Martin, Varadi, Cartwright, Waddle
Keep The Faith.

Gaz is a born and bred Toon fan from Gateshead. He went to his first games in the 1990/1991 season and began his regular pilgrimage at the start of the promotion season in 1992/1993.
He can’t remember his first ever game (but reckons it was probably shite!) but his first recollections of being at SJP is the first game of 92/93, when United beat Southend 3-2. Bracewell, Clark and an o.g from Spencer Prior were United’s scorers, the team that day was:
Wright; Venison, Beresford, Kilcline, Howey; Bracewell Watson, Clark, Sheedy; Peacock, Kelly.

Matty is Shields born Newcastle fan and was fortunately (or unfortunately) brought up watching Newcastle United by his fatha.
His first game was watching Newcastle draw at home to Ipswich, which was, as normal, shite. Andy Cole the scorer for us, only to concede in the last minute to Claus Thomsen?……B*stard.
Matty can normally be found shouting abuse at refs/anyone from his shite seat next to Gaz and Robbo every other week.
Archie B
Hatched on the banks of the North Tyne Archie wasn’t so much brought up as dragged up in the quaint fishing village of Bellingham.
As a youngster he couldn’t kick a ball to save his life, so this, in addition to certain mental ailments, made him perfect Goalkeeper material.
He attended Hexham Grammar School which as a result was immediately turned into a Comprehensive.
He first discovered St James’ Park in 1974, when he saw Newcastle defeated 0-1 by then high fliers Leeds United. That was it – he was hooked.
His prized possessions include a shiny rock he found as a boy in a potato field, A sandwich wrapper thought to have been licked by Samantha Fox, and an award presented to him in 1971 by Bobby Moncur – a signed copy of Moncur’s autobiography - “United We Stand”
After leaving school he tried a number of different jobs before finally signing up with the Royal Air Force with a view to “seeing the world”.
After spending his entire career at RAF Boulmer, 30 miles from Bellingham, Archie tried again with the “seeing the world” thing and this time went off to work abroad as a civilian.
Unfortunately – being abroad made personally attending matches a bit of a hassle, not to mention expensive, so these days Archie has had to swap the atmosphere of the terraces for the comfort of an armchair and the high definition of the latest satellite system.
Whilst working abroad Archie’s promising football career was brought to an abrupt end following a serious back injury picked up while playing. A barrage of tests were carried out, the results of which prompted Doctors to inform him that his playing days were now as he was “fat and old”.
Thanks to ID90 discounted airline tickets Archie has, in the past, been known to take a 7 hour flight back to the UK, watch a match and then fly out again, but such days of wanton enjoyment and spending are long since gone. Yes, Archie got married.
