Owen gets what he deserves….?

Michael Owen has finally got what he deserves in my opinion.

His attitude over the past three years has made me sick. I am not a Newcastle fan but know the city and its people well and they deserve much more than what Michael Owen has given them.

If he isn’t injured he is asking for more money. You get the impression in today’s society that there are 2 types of footballer. On the one hand you have your Rooneys, Terrys and Bullards who show their passion and love for the game. On the other hand you have your Bridges, Owens and Chimbondas who are only there to make money.

Owen can’t have it all his own way. If he is not willing to get himself fit and play with his heart for Newcastle who pay his f***ing astanomical wages then he doesn’t deserve any more handouts from England. It must be demoralizing for those fanatical Geordies to watch Owen turn in 5 or 6 decent performances a season as an International tournament comes around.

The guy doesn’t give a s*** about Newcastle and more worryingly doesn’t give a s*** about football.

I appreciate the fact that Owen scored a great goal in ‘98 and he has a good record for England but I personally believe that his heart is no longer in the game. I think it sends a good message out to player like Micah Richards that ability is not everything in football you need heart and passion as well.

I would be interested to know the opinion held of Owen from Newcastle fans…
