Our Relegation Rivals - State of Play…Part Two

Following on from part one earlier in the week, shiteseats takes a look at our relegation rivals and decides whether they’re safe, in bother, or goners…

16. Portsmouth: Pompey have been awful recently, and that crap form has led to Tony Adams’ dismissal. Brian Kidd and Paul Hart aren’t exactly a pairing to excite the fans and with nee dosh spent in the transfer window and Defoe flogged, Pompey are in free-fall. They still have some quality in the squad but are definitely IN BOTHER!

17. Stoke City: Stoke are a strange team. They don’t particularly play either well or badly at any point, and seem to have a single gameplan and feck all else. Beattie should get them some goals and in Matty Etherington they have a decent left winger to provide some crosses. Pulis isn’t daft, and Stoke might just have enough to stay up, but they are going to need to find a plan B. Prediction: IN BOTHER.

18. Blackburn: I hate these feckers, crap fans, crap ground, arsehole of a manager, but they should be alreet. With Man U, Everton and Arsenal coming up in their next give games, they have some difficult ties but they should have enough quality to keep their heads above water, even if Allardyce is a c*nt. Prediction: SAFE.

19. Boro: These lot are absolute toss. ONE goal in their last eight games, just eighteen scored all season and no win in thirteen, Boro are f*cked. £85m in debt, Southgate lacking experience at this level and their better players wanting out, I can’t see how they can get out of this. Prediction: GONERS!

20. West Brom: Mowbray is a canny sort of bloke and has WBA playing half-decent football but their defence is a joke and I don’t tihnk they have the quality to stay up. They lack a clinical striker (though Fortuné looked decent against us) and a organiser at the back, and sadly I reckon the Championship beckons again. Prediction: GONERS.

So, we reckon Boro and WBA are gone, with Stoke, Pompey and Hull fighting over that last relegation spot.
