“Robbos Really Big Shoe” 16th - 24th Jan
So this week has been relatively quiet on the betting front this week…..
Friday 16th Jan I had a DNB on Hartlepool to beat Northampton at 11/10 and they truly obliged a good start!
Sunday 18th Jan A great start having a few quid on NTD horse Kilvergan Boy at 14/1 (in from 33/1) seen me take a healthy profit, so with this I thought it would be a good idea to have a few quid on Defoe to score against his old team at 9/2 - he did score - just not first :)
Mon 19th Jan I had what I thought would be a certain double on Leicester at Yeovil (4/6) and Liverpool to jump back to the top of the premier league vs Everton (4/6) in the first of 2 Merseyside derbys in a week. Unfortunately a late slip by the liverpool defence let in little shi+house Tim Cahill for a trademark goal……a 2/1 double down
Tues 20th Jan saw me take the 12.80 quadpot at Southwell

Thurs 22nd Jan saw me have 2 bets on the first goal scorer in the live Scottish match - Kilmarnock v Ayr - a tasty 8/1 on Ayr striker Prunty was too tempting, and the a sly few quid on Killy top scorer - Fernandez had my bases covered - Prunty duely obliged at 8/1 - bases covered!
Also 2 quadpots in the late racing at Kempton - which looked tougher than Jackie Stallones face await….1st down in 1st and 2nd…down in you guessed it 2nd! - bloody sand is terrible to predict.
Also a single on Wrexham to beat Cambridge in the live Conference match (evens) looked a great price….which indeed it was with Wrexham seeing off their promotion rivals 2-0 at the racecourse.
Friday 23rd Jan - With the money from the Prunty bet I was given a tip by a work colleague for JHJs horse in the 1.20 at Doncaster which obliged by a country mile at a very attractive 9/2, my beer money was sorted for the Friday night booze up.
In the evening I decided to stay well clear of the televised Derby v Forest game as I thought it was too close to call - I was correct and maybe should have went for the draw at 12/5 - well nothing ventured.
Sat 24th Jan - no bets today - off to Gateshead (h) in the BSQ Conf North.
A half decent week anyway.
