Shout Out to Singing Portuguese Mag - ‘Tommy’

On a recent trip to Lisbon in Portugal I walked into the Henessey pub on the night of the Plymouth Cup match (‘The Lovelyhands Episode’) and as I took my usual seat at the bar - the barman stated “are you from Newcastle” - spotting my club badge on the polo shirt, “yes unfortuantely” was the reply.

He replied “so is the bloke singing and playing the guitar on stage” - and sure enough a fellow Mag now living in Portugal was belting out some old classics, he then played “Home Newcastle” much to my delight and to the besumement of the other punters in the bar.

I said I would give a shout out to Terry the Mag - a fine Geordie and an even better Musician, a fine bar and some fine company on a dreary night in Lisboa.
