The 25 shits of Christmas - days 22 and 23…
Nearly there now before you can have a break from the pish footballers list.
Day 22 brings us Wayne Quinn…

Joined United from Sheff Utd originally on loan in 2001, and did enough to make Sir Bobby spend £800,000 to sign him permanently shortly after, Quinn was supposedly equally adept on the left of the defence or midfield. Sadly, he was decidedly average in both of those positions, and after less than 30 games and only one goal, he went back on loan to Sheff Utd and then West Ham before retiring in 2004.
And day 25 is another Sir Bobby signing, Argentinian international Christian Bassedas.

Bobby splashed out £3.5m to sign Bassedas from Velez Sarsfield, where he’d played over 250 games, but never settled in Toon after breaking his foot early on in his career. Played 25 games, scored one goal but was generally tripe and completely out of his depth, and left again in 2002 to Tenerife on loan before being released. Now general manager at Velez Sarsfield.
