A real look at last night……

Ed Harrison who writes the NUFC Blog has an interesting article here regarding the defeat last night at Glanford Park.

Just some of the comments to the article that caught my eye and why I sometimes hate and love being a Newcastle Fan…..

Toonmania “from what i saw at the game last night there seems to be a complete lack of motivation in the team, sorry but i really do not think CH has what it takes to push the team forward, lack of tactics, our position in the table doesn’t show where we really are” (I would agree with these comments everyone else is losing games also, look at Boros recent form and WBA last night).

Toonsy “Can we win on Saturday? Not bothered! Can we still get promoted? Not bothered! Will the players come out today and start banging the drum like last season again? Not bothered! In fact im fast becoming not bothered about Newcastle! Thats hard for me to say as ive been a lifelong fan and was born and brought up in the toon! This team, from top to bottom, does not deserve a penny of my money or a minute of my time!” (I’ll take this as frustration and some points are valid, but all true lifelong fans will stick with them through thick and thin)

Charlietoon “Jesus wept. Second on the table and its gloom and doom. So much negativity is just not needed!” (This guy/gal just doesnt get the point do they! Its not the table position its the plight and what has happened and what is happening - dear me if everything was as black and white we’d be fine - so 18th place in the PL is fine, ok for some clubs but not for us - lose on Saturday and we could be 9th theres 9pts or spo seperating the top 10 - league position does not mask the underlying BIG problems at the club!)

and bro56’s reply to Charlietoon “its not doom and gloom m8, its reality.. people have a right to be upset, these results arent a fad, its real and they will continue to be poor under the current structure at the toon, lets see where your optimism is in Jan when we loose a few more players that arent replaced.. i hope im totally wrong..

This is the reality of our club, we have so called supporters trusts and clubs running around trying to assist the club, dont get me wrong this is a gallant and just effort, but the so called rallying cry is turning into an acceptance that we are where we are and depsite the trusts saying we can change things, sorry you cannot unless you the buy the club - like it or lump it.

NUFC Fans keep supporting your team and focus your efforts on support and not Buereaucracy…make your voices heard at the game as a collective and keep the faith.

Take the rough with the smooth and accept them both the same, as is your calling as True Mags.
