Rumours doing the rounds this eve:

• Taylor has not and will not put in a request to be transferred until the takeover is decided one way or another.
• Barry Moat is set to take over on Wednesday, with Mike Ashley being guarantor on the £40m Overdraft secured with Barclays.
• Some people claim to be ‘ITK’ about Shearer being appointed on Wednesday to coinside with the takeover.
• Solomon Campbell is said to be one of Shearers prefered players to bring in and give others tutorship and fill in too.
