Betfair Tipsters come up trumps again →
“The best bet looks to be Japan +1.5 on the Asian Handicap at 2.0. This covers any result other than an England win by two or more goals and can be supplemented by smaller punts on 1-0 (8.0) and 2-1 (11.0).”

ShiteSeats interviews George Caulkin...
As we all know, George Caulkin is one of the best, if not the best, writers in this press game - and seemingly one of the only hacks out there to understand what this region and football club is all about.
After some gentle persuasion, George agreed to talk to us about all things NUFC (and some things Mackem).

NUFC to play PSV in pre-season?
Reports in Holland suggest that NUFC will play PSV in pre-season as a memorial to Sir Bobby Robson, almost a year on since his death.
As of yet it is unknown whether the game will be at SJP or in Holland, but it seems like a great tribute to a man much-loved by both clubs.

Why NUFC can survive on a budget…
OK, so the club statement from the powers that be didn’t exactly fill us all with confidence for the new season. It was badly worded, unnecessarily abrupt and oddly timed – but there was a degree of sense in it. Football is not the cash cow it once was (if it ever was, in fairness) and sensible investment needs to prevail. I think this approach can suit NUFC, and here’s why. If we assume that no...

NUFC fan and all-round decent bloke Graeme Swann is still celebrating today (we assume) after England won their first ever World Cup in Barbados yesterday. After restricting the Aussies to 147 from their 20 overs, England won with three overs to spare to become World Champions!
